Leave the A35 at Winterborne Abbas (WA) west of Dorchester. Abbotsbury is on the B3157 coastal road between Weymouth and Bridport. The Swannery is sign posted on entering the village. The X53 Coast Bus service (X53 Timetable) runs regularly through Abbotsbury. ACCESS/COACH PARKING The Swannery is clearly sign posted on entering the village. There is a sharp left-hand bend on the approach to the Swannery from the eastern (Weymouth) end of the village. Long coaches may prefer to turn right at this point and continue through the village, turn in the Subtropical Gardens' coach park and then return to approach the junction head-on. INFIRM OR DISABLED Cars and coaches with infirm or disabled passengers may drive down to the Swannery gates, but must return to the coach park. All paths are accessible by wheelchair. Two wheelchairs are available on loan free of charge, unfortunately we cannot reserve them. Toilets for wheelchairs users are situated by the car park and in the restaurant. |
